Add the rest and seal it up. Stir in the garlic, followed by the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, beans, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper. Turn your instant pot to "saute" and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and saute the bell peppers and onions until tender.
Steps to make Instant Pot Chili:
- Set instant pot to saute add a few tbsp of olive oil and brown meat, add onions and bell peppers if desired. Cook until onions soften a bit. Drain if desired, I do not drain.
- Empty cans of beans, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes on top (do not drain cans before adding).. Add chili seasoning, cumin and Worcestershire sauce and stir everything together.
- Set it to manual, pressure, high for 10 minutes. Do a natural release for 5 minutes followed by a quick release of steam.
- Done! Serve by itself or my family likes it with cheese and sour cream on top.
- Ready to serve and ENJOY!
Turn your instant pot to "saute" and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and saute the bell peppers and onions until tender. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and drain any excess grease. Place the lid on the instant pot and set to "chili" mode ("manual" can be used too). This Instant Pot Chili is thick right after pressure cooking, but if you want it even thicker you can simmer it using sauté mode for a few minutes.
