- Take 2 lbs ground beef (or turkey)
- Get 1 tbsp dried or minced onion
- Prepare 28 oz can of petite diced tomatoes
- Take 15 oz can tomato sauce
- Make ready 2 cans (15 oz) each) kidney beans (one blended)
- Get 15 oz can of black beans
Add ground beef and cook until browned and no longer pink, using a wooden spoon to crumble beef while it is cooking. In small bowl, combine Chili Powder, Onion Powder, Garlic Salt, Pepper, Cumin, and Cayenne. Once beef is browned, cancel Saute setting. Add seasonings from small bowl to Instant Pot and stir until well combined.
Instructions to make Savory instant pot chili:
- Set instant pot to sautee and brown your meat and onions. Drain liquid.
- While meat is browning, mix together seasonings in a bowl.
- Pour blended beans and other liquid ingredients onto meat in pot. No need to drain or rinse beans
- Dump seasoning mix into pot and stir in with meat mixture.
- Put lid on with valve set to sealing position. Using the manual setting, cook on high pressure for 30 minutes. Quick release when done.
- Serve with sour cream, cheese, crackers, etc.
- If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Ready to serve and ENJOY!
Once beef is browned, cancel Saute setting. Add seasonings from small bowl to Instant Pot and stir until well combined. Meat doesn't have to cook through. Set Instant Pot on saute setting, and add oil. Transfer beef to a plate; set aside.
